Welcome to the website of the Balloch Riders
The Balloch Riders Access Group (BRAG) is a voluntary group of energetic horse riders dedicated to restoring tracks and developing access to the Balloch woods – not just for horse riders, but for all users and a range of educational and recreational pursuits. This website provides further information on the work BRAG has undertaken to date, future plans and how to join BRAG.
Supported by the Forestry Commission and Scottish Natural Heritage, BRAG had a successful year in 2007 and has now raised some funding for further work in 2008-09, although this is ongoing. Support has already been received from Awards for All Lottery funding, SNH, Aberdeenshire Towns Partnership through Huntly & District Tourist Action Group, HIE Moray, and Marr Area Partnership.
